Biology Honors Scholar

 Requirements to satisfy departmental requirements for Track 2:

A minimum of 12 credits of courses, apportioned as follows:

A) Independent Study/Research/Internship courses – a minimum of 3 credits in total required from among the following:
      BZ487 Internship
      BZ495 Independent Study
      BZ498 Field or Laboratory Research

B) A minimum of 9 credits in total from among the following categories of courses:
Honors Sections of regular upper-division BY or BZ courses:
      BY310 Cell Biology 4 cr.
      BY311 Developmental Biology 4 cr.
      BY320 Ecology 3 cr.
      BZ335 Ornithology 3 cr.

Honors Option of regular upper-division courses used to fulfill “Selected Field” or “Additional Field” requirements in the Biological Sciences major (6 cr. maximum)

Regular graduate-level BZ courses (6 cr. maximum):
BZ5XX

Note: in addition, all majors must complete the Honors thesis requirement.
