Biomedical Sciences Honors Scholar

 Requirements to satisfy departmental requirements for Track 2:

1. Choose 6 credits from the following:

BMS302 H         Laboratory in Principles of Physiology Honors Section          2 cr.

Honors Option courses:
BMS301             Human Gross Anatomy                                                                   5 cr.
BMS305             Domestic Animal Gross Anatomy                                                 4 cr.
BMS325             Cellular Neurobiology                                                                      3 cr.
BMS360             Fundamentals of Physiology                                                          4 cr.
BMS365             Nerve and Muscle – Toxins, Trauma and Disease                    3 cr.
BMS420             Cardiopulmonary Physiology                                                          3 cr.
BMS430             Endocrinology                                                                                    3 cr.
BMS450             Pharmacology                                                                                   3 cr.

2. Choose 6 credits from the following:
BMS 384V        Supervised College Teaching                                                   (max 3 cr)
BMS487            Internship                                                                                      (max 3 cr)
BMS498            Research                                                                                      (max 6 cr)
BMS495V          Independent Study                                                                      (max 3 cr)
BMS500            Mammalian Physiology I                                                                 4 cr.
BMS501            Mammalian Physiology II                                                                4 cr.
BMS531            Domestic Animal Dissection                                                         3 cr.
BMS575            Human Anatomy Dissection                                                          4cr.

 

Note: In addition, all majors must complete the honors thesis requirement.
