Honors 50th Anniversary

Political Science Honors Scholar

 Requirements to satisfy departmental requirements for Track 2:  

300 and 400 level courses (choose any two; maximum of 6 credits):
AP/PO/S 3** interdisciplinary course #1                                                 3 cr.
AP/PO/S 3** interdisciplinary course #2                                                 3 cr.
PO3XX or PO4XX Honors course with a “break-out” section              3 cr.
PO3XX or PO4XX Honors course                                                             3 cr.

  500 level courses in Political Science Department: (choose any two; maximum of 6 credits) 

All PO 5XX courses, with consent of the instructor. They are:
PO500 Governmental Politics in the U.S.                                            3 cr.
PO501 Citizen Politics in the U.S.                                                         3 cr.
PO520 Theories of Political Action                                                        3 cr.
PO530 International Relations                                                               3 cr.
PO531 Policy Making, Diplomacy, and World Politics                       3 cr.
PO532 Governance of the World Political Economy                          3 cr.
PO540 Comparative Politics                                                                  3 cr.
PO541 Political Economy of Change and Development                  3 cr.
PO550 Advanced Public Administration                                               3 cr.
PO552 A-C Topics in Public Administration                                        3 cr.
PO 581 National Identities and Nation-building                                 3 cr.
PO 580 Gender and the Law                                                                  3 cr.

 

Note: In addition, all majors must complete the honors thesis requirement.
