PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

The educational objective of the University Honors Program is to provide a challenging, enriching, and outstanding education for superb students. The key to a superb education is linking outstanding students with the finest faculty to maximize one-on-one learning experiences that emphasize creativity and discovery in small courses (15 to 25 students) and in the senior year project.

Program requirements for Track 1 and Track 2 of the University Honors Program are explained in detail here:
     Track 1 University Honors Scholar
     Track 2: Discipline Honors Scholar

The Track 1 program for new, first-year students focuses on an academic core that provides breadth and perspectives in the four interdisciplinary Honors seminars that fulfill seven of eleven University general education requirements and in-depth experiences in the major through two Honors courses and a senior year creative activity/thesis. The Track 2 program focuses primarily on Honors experiences in the major through three to four upper division Honors courses and the senior year creativity activity.
