Matt Lenyo, a Scholar Beyond the Classroom
Matt, 22, will graduate this week with a double major in biology and theatre. He was one of four students chosen for the Monfort Scholarship his freshman year. To read more click here.

Engineering Student Takes Top Prize at Space Symposium
The unmanned aerial vehicle from Colorado State University took home the grand prize in the 2008 Undergraduate Space Research Symposium sponsored by the Colorado Space Grant Consortium. Read more about the team's accomplishments here.

CSU Engineering Students Take First for Human Powered Vehicle
Colorado States University's mechanical engineering team has placed first in the Human Powered Vehicle utility competition for the third year in a row. Read more about the team's accomplishments here.

Joanna Hamburger, a double major in Political Science and Economics, has been named a Udall Scholar. Joanna is a junior, and plans to pursue career in environmental law. For further information about Joanna's prestigious award, click here.

Daniel Woldtvedt, Honors student and mechanical engineering and biomedical science double major, was recently awarded the 2007 Biomedical Engineering Society Undergraduate Research and Design Award. Read more about Dan's accomplishments here. Dan is also a recipient of the prestigious Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship. Ashley Denney, another Honors student, was a runner up for the Goldwater. Christi Heun, won a Freeman-Asia scholarship to study in Thailand. She is a natural resources major who served as a peer mentor in the Honors orientation team. She is also a member of the Logging Sports team.

Brett Okamoto, graduate in May in Technical Journalism. He landed an internship with Sports Illustrated in New York.

Kristen Deahl, is another Technical Journalism major who just graduated. She has an internship with the Baltimore Ravens in public relations.

Honors Enrichment Award Program!

We have initiated an Honors Enrichment Award Program to provide enhanced educational experiences for Honors students. Awards in the amount of $100 to $500 may be used to fund opportunities in a variety of areas including leadership development, cultural events, undergraduate research, academic conferences, and community service.
