Honors Residential Learning Communities

THE HONORS RESIDENTIAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES (HRLC) are housed in two adjacent campus residence halls. The Academic Village is a state-of-the-art living learning environment that integrates classroom and experiential learning into the living area with programming space, seminar and meeting rooms, multi-media classrooms, and more. It features hotel style rooms with private bathrooms. Only Honors freshmen are eligible to live in the Academic Village HRLC. In addition to the Academic Village, several floors in Edwards Residence Hall are reserved for Honors students. This traditional style residence hall has been recently renovated and presents a more economical housing option. Edwards Hall features a time-honored floor plan with standard double rooms and community bathrooms on each floor. There are many advantages to living in the Honors Residential Learning Communities:
THE DINING COMMONS houses a small convenience shop, coffee bar, sunken lounges, and the Ram's Horn Dining Center which includes: Mexican, Mongolian, and sports grills; pasta and carving stations; sushi and salad bars; and a bakery. Students in both residence halls have convenient access to the Dining Commons and attractive outdoor plaza area. THE HONORS RESIDENTIAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES have been a popular choice for incoming students but Honors students are not required to live in the Honors residence halls. Historically about two-thirds of incoming freshmen choose to live in one of our two Honors Residential Learning Communities.
