Renewable Energy

The Honors Program encourages its students to take advantage of the opportunity to choose renewable electricity for their residence hall rooms through CSU's Housing and Dining Service's Green Power Program .



Ram's Horn Dining Center

The new Dining Center in the Academic Commons is host to several environmentally friendly features such as green power and lighting, a pulper, green to-go containers and a trayless dining room. Read more about Housing and Dining Services' "Live Green at CSU" program here.



Saving Trees

The Honors Program encourages the use of online applications and email when possible to reduce the amount of paper used in order to save trees.



Printer Cartridges

The Honors Student Association is collecting used printer cartridges. Drop off your old cartridge for recycling in the Honors Office.



Water

Rooms in the Academic Village are equipped with low-flow water fixtures to help conserve water.






Batteries

Drop off spent alkaline and rechargeable batteries for recycling in the bucket located at the Honors Office.

Honors in the Spotlight...

Honors Professor Dr. Anne Marie Merline and the students in her HONR193 seminar “Affluenza” collect recyclable materials from the dorms every spring to show the student body how easy it is to be green.
