Joanna Harter is a Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism major who is studying abroad in Senegal focusing on sustainable development. Autumn Sheridan is a senior Psychology major with the goal of becoming a child psychologist. She has been on the College of Natural Science Dean’s List, is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and was the College of Natural Sciences President’s Outstanding Scholar in 2006-2007. She has spent two and a half years caring for a child with Down’s Syndrome as well as participating in 4-H and church activities.
She has coached a junior high school volleyball team for two years.
Allen Sprague is a History and English major. He has plans to walk the Overland Trail from Colorado to California when he graduates. He hopes to attend graduate school so he can pursue his interest in western and Native American history.

Jennifer Roemer was awarded one of CSU’s “Students First Scholarships. She is a Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism major. She is a member of Xi Sigma Pi Honor Society, Bridges Honor Society, and the Warner College of Natural Resources College Council. She has also worked with Professor Jerry Vaske on several research projects which has inspired her to seek further education in graduate school.

Travis Hall is a Political Science major currently studying in Shanghai, China after completing a summer working in the State Department's Office of Global Change. Travis hopes to work in the State Department or an NGO creating solutions to environmental and social problems in China. He has served as the President of the Chinese Club and as a Resident Advisor in the Academic Village - Honors. He founded "Seven Days for Seven Dollars' to build awareness of the 1 billion people in the world that live on $1 a day.

Elizabeth Mortensen

Elizabeth Mortensen is a Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Biology major with hopes of eventually working as a professor or for a non-profit conservation organization. She works with Dr. von Fisher on methane biogeochemical research She is also a member of the Fair Advocates for Cultural Truths working to create a network for socially responsible consumerism.

Betsy Buechler

Betsy Buechler is a Biochemistry major who plans to pursue a PhD in Cellular Biology. She has served as the President of BRIDGES Honor Society as well as the community service officer. In 2008 she founded WISDOM, Women in Science Devoted to Outreach and Mentoring. The group brings female science, math and engineering majors to local junior high schools to tutor math and mentor female students.

Nancy Ran Tao

Nancy Ran Tao is majoring in Chemistry and Music. She hopes to go to graduate school to study synthetic organic chemistry so she can pursue a career in drug development. She has put her violin talent to work in the University Symphony Orchestra and CSU Opera Theatre. She is assistant concertmaster of the CSU Chamber Orchestra.
