Discipline Honors Scholar
Application Information & Instructions
Fall 2008

The Discipline Honors Scholar is a new track within the CSU Honors Program specifically designed for the following students:

  1. Incoming transfer students who attended another college or university before coming to CSU, or
  2. Currently enrolled CSU students with at least a 3.5 GPA who would like to apply to the Honors Program.

Students interested in starting the Discipline Honors Scholar track in Fall 2007 must have completed a minimum of 45 and a maximum of 60 college-level, graded credits through Fall Semester 2006 and have earned a minimum 3.5 cumulative college GPA to be invited to apply.

Application Overview

You must apply to the University and to the Honors Program. There are separate applications for admission to the University and admission to the Honors Program. Applications to the Honors Program will not be reviewed unless you have been admitted to Colorado State University. Applications for undergraduate admission to Colorado State University can be found at www.admissions.colostate.edu or by contacting the Office of Admissions at (970) 491-6909.

The Honors Program application consists of the application form, a personal statement, college transcript, and the recommendation form filled out by a college professor. Applications are not reviewed until these four items have been received and you've been admitted to Colorado State University. An on-line application is the preferred method for submitting Honors Program applications and can be accessed below. However, the application may also be printed from the links provided.

Honors Program Application Deadline: June 1, 2008

Early submission of your application is strongly encouraged. Review of completed applications will begin once all four components of the application have been received and will continue until all openings are filled. In some cases, we may ask for additional information before making an admission decision. On-line applications are preferred.

Honors Program Admissions Decisions

Notification of admissions decisions will be made by July 15. Offers of admission to the Honors Program are conditional upon satisfactory completion of, and performance in, current college course work and Honors Space availability in your major.
