CCHE ADMISSION INDEX The standards established by the Colorado Commission of Higher Education (CCHE) for entering freshmen are based on the calculation of an admission index. The index has two components: a student's high school performance (high school grade point average or class rank) and performance on a standardized test. To read the CCHE admission index chart, simply find your SAT or ACT score on the top and match that score with your high school grade-point average or class rank found on the left of the chart. The intersecting number is your CCHE index score. Colorado State University 's regular admission index is 101, although it has the ability to admit a designated percentage of students who fall below that index. The University Honors Program automatically admits students with a CCHE index between 135-146 who have at least a 3.7 cumulative GPA and invites students whose indexes fall between 125 and 134 to apply for admission to the program. Students whose index falls below 125 may still apply to the program, but will not receive a letter of invitation from the University Honors office. Please enter all possible information. You must enter either your ACT or SAT score, AND your high school grade point average or class rank in order to calculate your CCHE Admission Index. |
