The University Honors Program at Colorado State is the program of choice for academically talented students who want a superb education.   The Honors Program is a small community located within an excellent mid-sized university. An Honors education at Colorado State offers the best of both worlds--small enough to provide individual attention and large enough to offer a spectacular diversity of people, perspectives, and programs.  The benefits of the Honors Program include:

  • A superb residential living and learning community composed of talented and highly motivated students.
  • Flexible curriculum to accommodate individual student needs through two tracks (programs of study)
  • Holistic education to nurture and develop well-rounded university graduates.
  • A challenging and rewarding program of humanistic and scientific studies where the centerpiece is an integrated core of four interdisciplinary seminars, two in the first year, and one in the junior and senior years.
  • Scholarships for students participating in the Honors Program( $1000 in-state and $2000 out-of-state).
  • Fulfillment of University and department requirements to help students graduate on time.
  • An enriched program of studies at no extra cost.
  • Honors sections of key courses in each major.
  • Small class size, 15 to 25 students, that fosters active learning.
  • Increased faculty to student interaction through research opportunities, independent studies, honors course in the department major, and the Honors thesis or project.
  • Priority access to the Honors Living and Learning Communityin the new Academic Village.
  • Early registration for all courses.
  • Special recognition at graduation and University Honors Scholar designation on transcript and diploma.
